This is why I love him...

John Mayer may seem or even act like a big ol douche bag but then there are times when all I have to do is listen to one of his albums or read his blog, and it reminds me why I love him so much as an artist and as a individual. He wrote a blog earlier today about Christina Taylor Green and it was so touching and sweet.


Dear Christina,
What a sad, sad thing that you can’t be here to see it, but you did something with your life that no politician in yours ever did or could: you unified the United States of America. Today you’re making people think more than speak. And maybe when they’re done thinking, they’ll speak differently. And then maybe after they speak differently others will want to think differently, and maybe that’s how the world comes to change for the better.

This whole shooting last week took me by surprise, it reminds me of how negative politics are and how instantly people were pointing fingers at one another. Its just disgusting and sad that we cant just mourn the loss of all of the innocent, instead the news networks are choosing to blame the other side of the aisle. But I guess it is normal, and unfortunately a part of the world we live in today.
